Ever think back over the years, some good, some not so good, but think about some of your most unusual situations where time and place was a miracle? … Just happened to be someplace when something happened that changed the direction of your life … about folks you met, etc. And, you wonder how it all came together … mostly good.

Then, thought about some ‘dumb’ moves I had made … for instance … Only son at the time wanted a swing set for Christmas … naturally, it came in a box, unassembled. For some small amount $5 or $10 … {remember this was in the 1960s), I had an opportunity to have it assembled for near nothing … but, I chose not to do that … Had a friend who would help … It was Christmas eve … We began work about dark-thirty and completed after midnight, after Santa had come and gone … So, as I lay in bed thinking back … my thoughts were along the line of how dumb can I be? For a small, measly sum of money, I could have had it assembled … thought about other moves … smart and not so smart…

Then heard my phone ‘ping’, so I peaked … There was an epistle related to some health concerns of a loved one … Turned over, and went to sleep … Up early to check the latest report … more ups and downs on this ‘rocky road’ we travel … So, what’s new?

“Adopt the pace of nature. Her secret is patience.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Good communication is as stimulating as black coffee, and just as hard to sleep after.” Anne Morrow Lindbergh
